Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of KWScanner ("we", "us", "the Service"). By creating an account, installing the browser extension, or using any part of the platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Accounts

• You must be 16 or older. If you're using the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials and any access tokens secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
• One person, one account. Sharing accounts between people is prohibited.
• You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, and to keep your account details up to date.

2. Credits and billing

KWScanner is pay-as-you-go. You buy credits in advance and spend them as you use the Service. Pricing is published on the pricing section of our home page; the rate you pay is the rate of the highest volume tier you qualify for at purchase. All amounts are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

• Credits do not expire. They remain on your account until used or until your account is closed.
• Auto top-up is opt-in. When enabled, we charge your saved card for the credit amount you configured whenever your balance falls below the threshold you set. You can disable it at any time in account settings.
• Coupons we issue may have expiry dates and redemption limits stated at the time of issue.
• Receipts are emailed automatically after every purchase. Invoices are available on request.
• We may change pricing at any time, with notice. Changes do not affect credits already purchased — you keep the rate you bought at.

3. Refunds

• Manual refunds on unused credits are available within 30 days of the purchase. Email [email protected] and we'll refund to the original payment method.
• We don't refund credits that have already been spent.
• If a charge is disputed via your card issuer, we may suspend the account pending resolution.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to harass, defame, or violate the rights of any person.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code, design, or non-public structure from the Service.
• Circumvent rate limits, the credit system, authentication, or other technical controls.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in any manner that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Resell or sublicense access to your account without our written permission.
• Use automated means to create accounts, redeem coupons, or otherwise abuse promotional credits.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We retain the right to refuse service.

5. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime measured monthly, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Planned maintenance is announced at least 48 hours in advance. We are not liable for outages outside our reasonable control, including outages of payment processors and hosting infrastructure.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your dashboard. We may terminate or suspend access immediately if you breach these Terms. On termination:

• Unused credits are forfeit if termination is for cause (breach of acceptable use). For voluntary closure, you may request a refund per §3.
• Your account record is deleted within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (such as tax invoices).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KWScanner is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (such as gross negligence, fraud, or statutory consumer rights).

8. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes are announced at least 30 days before they take effect, by email and a banner on the dashboard. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where KWScanner is incorporated. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection laws grant you the right to bring a claim where you live.
